Hi, I'm Olivia Arkley

If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed or held back by patterns that no longer serve you, you’re in the right place. I use Clinical Hypnotherapy and Strategic Psychotherapy to help you work through the mental and emotional blocks that keep you from moving forward, so you can feel calm, clear, and in control of your life again.

Unlike traditional talk therapies, this approach works with your subconscious mind, which is the place where unhelpful habits and limiting beliefs are stored. That means we can often create meaningful, lasting change more efficiently. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, stress, procrastination, self-esteem, low mood, motivation, phobias, fears or food dependencies, I’ll support you in developing the insight, tools, and confidence to take action and feel like yourself again.

With a background in education and specialised qualifications in hypnosis, strategic psychotherapy, counselling, anxiety management, EMDR, and mindfulness-based stress reduction, I combine proven techniques to suit your individual needs. Everything we do is focused on helping you achieve real results and more peace, progress, and purpose.

How safe is Clinical Hypnotherapy?
Yes, Clinical Hypnotherapy is 100% safe when delivered by a therapist who has specialised training and qualifications that are nationally recognised.
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural and deeply relaxed state where you experience heightened awareness, increasing the susceptibility to suggestions.
Can I be hypnotised?
Yes, but the deepness of the hypnotic state will vary between clients and depend on how open you are to the process. Despite the level of relaxation reached, you can still achieve results.
Am I in control during hypnosis?
Yes, it is a common misconception that people can lose control of their mind and bodies during hypnosis. You are free to open your eyes and come out of hypnosis at any time.
Will I remember everything from my hypnosis session?
Most people will be able to recall the details from their session. These are likely to fade over time, just like other memories. Your therapist will provide you with a recording, which will help reinforce strategic messages suggested and maintain your progress.
How many sessions will I need to see results?
This is dependent on the complexity of presenting issues, goals and willingness to engage in the process. Many clients see immediate results after one session. However, the recommendation is typically between 3-6 consultations to monitor, reinforce and build on progress.
Can our sessions be done online?
Yes, sessions are offered both online and at the consulting rooms at Kingston Beach Health Centre.
Is this covered by Medicare rebates and/or my private health fund?
Unfortunately, Hypnotherapy is not covered by Medicare rebates. Depending on your provider and level of coverage, some rebates can be claimed through your private health fund.
